India should strongly condemn China’s comments: MP Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: It is known that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that his country has mediated to defuse tensions between India and Pakistan. However, AIMIM party president and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi responded to those comments in his social media post. He said that it is insulting for China to say that Indo-Pak tensions have been reduced and the central government should give a strong response to those comments. He said that it is not right for China to belittle Indian dignity and sovereignty. Owaisi said that Trump had said that there was a serious crisis between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindhur and that peace was achieved through trade threats, and now the Chinese minister making such a statement would only embarrass India.
India should strongly oppose China’s comments, he said. He accused China of trying to put India and Pakistan on the same level and make it the best country in South Asia. He questioned whether Prime Minister Modi had agreed to this during his visit to China. He expressed surprise at China’s comments that the Indo-Pak war was stopped through mediation. Owaisi demanded that the Indian government officially condemn those comments and say that there was no third country intervention.
