Indian Air Force made 404 sorties efficient in the first phase of election process: CEO
Raipur. The first phase of voting for Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023 was completed on 7 November. During this period, the Indian Air Force, facing all the challenges, worked to take the voting contingent to the polling booths in Naxal affected areas and bring them back safely. The Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh has appreciated the efforts of the Indian Air Force to help in conducting the elections.
Image In a post on social media site X, the Chief Electoral Officer said that the Indian Air Force defied all challenges and enabled a successful electoral process in one of the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas. The Indian Air Force carried out 404 sorties with eight Mi 17s, safely ferrying 853 polling contingents from 43 locations, enabling a successful electoral process in the Left Wing Extremism-hit region.
