Indian Embassy organized ‘India-Kuwait Technology Conference’

Kuwait City (ANI): The Embassy of India in Kuwait in collaboration with the National Association of Software and Services Companies of India (NASSCOM), Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) and Chamber of Commerce and Kuwait Industry (KCCI) organized a ‘ . India-Kuwait Technology Conference in Kuwait City on 23 October.
The conference was held at Four Seasons Hotel in Kuwait City where around 20 leading IT companies from NASSCOM, India participated.
“The conference was attended by representatives of various government ministries and organizations, companies, banks and other institutions, including heads of bodies like CITRA, KneT etc.,” an official statement said.
Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Adarsh Swaika spoke about the growth of the IT sector in India and provided some current facts and figures at the conference.

“Announcing Google’s cloud services in India, investing $1 billion in new data centers and opening its global fintech operations center in GIFT City, Gujarat; Amazon Web Services announced plans to invest $12.7 billion in India by 2030, taking its total investment to $16.4 billion. Over a period of approximately one and a half decades; “Infosys will set up Generative AI Labs to develop specific AI solutions for industry and train 20,000 employees on Google Cloud generative AI solutions etc.”

The envoy highlighted how India has leveraged technology to transform governance and make it more efficient, inclusive, faster and transparent, and how “India’s digital public infrastructure is scalable, secure and ready for global challenges.” Provides inclusive solutions.”
He said that the solution which is successful in India can be easily implemented anywhere in the world including Kuwait. He said that New Delhi is willing to share its experiences with the world.
“There is immense potential for bilateral cooperation with Kuwait in the information technology sector, especially at a time when Kuwait seeks to modernize and digitalize its economy and become a smart commercial hub through its Vision 2035 economic diversification plan and new government program Is. region,” the ambassador said.

KCCI board member Wafaa al-Qatami expressed similar sentiments, as did CITRA experts and other officials attending the event, the statement said.

As part of the conference, a roundtable was organized which included representatives from companies from NASSCOM as well as CITRA, National Bank of Kuwait and Diyar United, who discussed opportunities, challenges and awareness related to the IT sector.

India’s Kuwait Post further said: “A panel discussion was held on Unleashing the Full Potential of IT Collaboration, moderated by Mr. Ajay Singh of TCS; “Which included panelists from CITRA, NBK, Diyar UDT, InaDev and SEA Infonet, which provided insights.” Possibility of cooperation between India and Kuwait in ITES sector.”
