New Delhi: A woman took to social networks to share her harrowing experience on an IndiGo flight, and criticized the low-cost airline for its alleged decline in food quality and service standards. Delhi-based dietitian Khushboo Gupta published a video of her stomach circling on Instagram, showing a live animal in the vegetable sandwich she bought during her IndiGo flight from Delhi to Mumbai on the morning of the 29th. December. Gupta expressed his dissatisfaction and narrated his horrific experience on Instagram, questioning the airline’s commitment to the safety and well-being of passengers. Despite knowing that the quality of the sandwiches was not good…Azafta continued serving the sandwiches to other passengers. There were children, elderly people and other passengers… what if someone got infected? Gupta expressed concern. When Gupta informed IndiGo employees of Gusano’s discovery, they said the response was inadequate. According to Gupta, the incident was limited to simply saying: “We will replace it with something else”, without addressing the broader issue of food safety. The assistant assured Gupta that the matter would be reported to the concerned department. Meanwhile, the airline said in a statement that its crew had immediately stopped serving the specific sandwiches in question. We are aware of the concern raised by one of our customers regarding his experience on flight 6E 6107 from Delhi to Mumbai. “We wish to emphasize our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service onboard,” the carrier confirmed. After research, our team immediately set out to serve the respective signature sandwiches. Currently, the matter is being investigated minutely and we are working closely with our catering provider to ensure that appropriate corrective measures are taken.
