Indore: Man raped tribal woman on the pretext of job

Indore: A case of rape and intimidation was registered against a man after he had physical relations with a tribal woman multiple times on the pretext of offering her a job. When she refused, he started blackmailing her to make her video viral on the internet, police said.

According to SI Kamal Kishore Solanki of Chhoti Gwaltoli police station, a case has been registered against Aslam, resident of Khajrana, on the complaint of a 40-year-old woman from Hatod. The victim told that she used to work as a laborer while living in Hatod.

A year ago she had come to Indore for work. During this time, Aslam found him and offered him work at his shop in Ranipura to earn his living. She accepted the proposal but Aslam started pressurizing her to have physical relations. When she refused he threatened to fire her.

Aslam also said that if the victims agreed, he would keep her as his wife. Later, the victim became disheartened and left the job around Diwali last year. After this Aslam started harassing and blackmailing the victim.

This frightened the victim as she belonged to the tribal community. After this he lodged a police complaint in the matter. After this the police investigated the case and arrested Aslam. The court sent him to jail.
