Infiltration attempt failed on LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, 2 terrorists killed

Srinagar (IANS). Security forces on Saturday foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have killed two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate.

Based on an intelligence input given by Kupwara Police, a joint operation was launched by the Army and Police in Kumkadi area of Machil sector.

Police said that the operation is still going on. So far, two AK rifles, four AK magazines, 90 rounds, one Pakistan-made pistol, a pouch and Rs 2,100 in Pakistani currency have been recovered from the encounter site.
