Innocent child dies after being hit by uncontrolled car, driver in custody

Jagdalpur: Today, a speeding car hit a 2-year-old child while crossing the road in Keshalur under Parpa police station area. The child died on the spot in the accident. The police have taken the accused car driver into custody.

Giving information about the case, Parpa police station in-charge Lalji Sinha said that Keshalur resident Sardai Kashyap was living in her brother’s house with her 2-year-old son Khemeshwar Kashyap after separating from her husband. On Friday morning, she had come with her son to pluck wood near the Keshalur sign board.

She was going back home after breaking wood, when suddenly while crossing the road, her son Khemeshwar came on the road and the car going from Jagdalpur towards Dantewada hit Khemeshwar. In this accident the child died on the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. The body was sent to the PM for investigation, while the accused car driver has been taken into custody.
