Instagram’s new feature will allow users to add music to their grid posts
San Francisco (IANS). Meta-owned Instagram has released a new feature that will allow users to add music to their grid posts.
The feature was introduced on Friday by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, who used it in her new song ‘Bad Idea Right?’, reports The Verge. Done to release.
Users can now attach a song of their choice to a Carousel post with multiple photos or videos, just like they can with Stories or Reels.
It has been said in the report that it appears that this feature is in the process of being made available to the users.
Apart from this, Instagram is also introducing many new features.
The “Add Your” sticker will give fans a chance to be featured by the original creator or artist if they use it to create a video based on a prompt.
When a creator selects a submission to be highlighted, the video appears at the top of the landing page, alongside other reels generated from the sticker prompt.
Creators will be able to highlight up to ten reels, and fans will be notified if their video is selected by the creator.
Instagram is also expanding the collaborative publishing feature to allow posts to be co-authored by up to three other accounts.
The Collabs feature allows both public and private accounts to jointly share content and display it on both accounts’ feeds.
Meanwhile, Instagram will be rolling out a new feature to better protect users from unwanted DM requests.
According to the report of TechCrunch, the company started testing this feature in June.
With this new feature, people who want to send DM riskquests to users they don’t follow will face a number of restrictions.
