Instructions to remove encroachment from 692 locations of green belt area
Bhopal : Bhopal Collector Ashish Singh, in line with the instructions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to remove encroachment from 692 locations in Bhopal Green Belt area, held a meeting of the concerned departments and discussed about removal of encroachment from the locations as directed by NGT and gave instructions for necessary action. During this, DFO Alok Pathak, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, ADM along with Forest Department, Municipal Corporation, PWD, CPA and other officials were present. The Collector has given instructions to form a team from the concerned departments Municipal Corporation, PWD, CPA and Forest Department and start the process of removing the encroachment immediately by following the instructions of NGT.
He told that as per the instructions issued by NGT, the highest encroachment location in the green belt area is located on Ayodhya Nagar Bypass Road, along with it, a large number is located on Nilbad to Mughalia Chhap, Patel Nagar Bypass to 11 Mile Road, Karond Bypass Road from Bhanpura Square to Asharam Bapu Square. There is encroachment. The Collector said that the concerned departments should coordinate the action to remove encroachment. The Collector has directed the Municipal Corporation to inspect the parking system in all the commercial construction permissions given by them in the last five years and to be given in the future. Get it done and ensure that the parking space is used only for parking. It should also be seen that parking provision is mandatory in all commercial constructions, only then permission should be given. Action should be taken against violators as per rules.
