Interstate gang busted, two vicious thieves arrested, eight vehicles recovered
Ghaziabad (IANS). The Crime Branch of Police Commissionerate Ghaziabad has taken major action against vehicle thieves and exposed an interstate gang. Police have arrested two vicious vehicle thieves. 8 stolen vehicles have been recovered from their possession.
The Crime Branch has arrested both the criminals from Indirapuram area. Accused Sunil alias Kala has failed 8th. He used to work as an auto driver for about 12 years. During this time, he came in contact with Sunil, Chand and Hakim Mulla and started stealing the car and selling it.
Aas Mohammad, caught with Sunil, is 8th pass. After learning denting and painting of vehicles, he was working by opening a garage in Sonipat. He met Shehzad and Sunil alias Kala at the garage itself. After which he started supplying further with the stolen vehicle.
According to the police, Sunil alias Kala has formed an organized gang of Hakim, Aas Mohammad, Shahzad, Ismail, Rinku alias Noor Mohammad. The gang used to steal vehicles and sell them further as per the demand in Delhi-NCR.
The miscreants first do Reiki and then make fake keys through electronic devices (tabs). After this, they would steal the car, change the number plate and install a jammer to stop the GPS from working. The gang has already gone to jail.
