Investigation team reached Karni Krupa Power Plant
Mahasamund. The district level joint team constituted for the inspection of industrial factories today conducted a surprise inspection of Karni Kripa Power Plant. Committee member Labor Officer Mr. D.L. Patra said that during the inspection in compliance with the order of the Collector and District Magistrate, the Mineral Department did not find any prima facie violation.
Instructions have been given to submit documents for further investigation. The Transport Department inspected the over-loaded vehicles. During the inspection by the Legal Metrology Measurement Department, the weighing scale and small electronic weighing equipment were found to be non-standard and unsealed and the weights verified and stamped as per rules were not found in the premises for checking the weighing scale. Similarly, during the investigation by the Environment Department, fugitive emission was found from the CD building and the housekeeping system was not found satisfactory.
The committee has sought an answer from the management regarding the shortcomings. The investigation team includes Manager District Trade and Industry Center Shashikant Singh, Praveen Nag and S.K. from Chhattisgarh Environment Board. Chaudhary, Siddharth Dubey from Legal Metrology and Weighing, Mineral Officer Mr. Sanat Kumar Sahu, District Transport Officer Mr. Ramkumar Dhruv, Labor Officer D.L. Patra and Pramod Nair, Manoj Verma, Nikhil Kumar and other members were present from the Food Management side.
It is known that as per the instructions of CG Government, Ministry, Housing and Environment Department, Mahanadi Bhawan, Collector and District Magistrate Mr. Vinay Langeh has formed a district level joint team for inspection of tarpaulin/suitable material and for compliance and monitoring of rules in vehicles transporting minerals in large industries, dangerous industries, under construction projects and mines located in the district.
