IRB constable arrested for stalking and insulting woman in Goa
Panaji (IANS). Goa Police on Wednesday arrested an Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) constable for stalking a woman, insulting her and threatening her husband.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi said a woman from Bardez-North Goa had lodged a complaint at the Mapusa police station alleging that IRB constable Suraj Shailendra Saxena, along with his friend Babit Naik, had stalked her on September 15 to establish personal contact.
Police said, “He followed her and abused her and her husband using dirty words. He also threatened the complainant and her husband with dire consequences.”
Police said that the complainant also gave a video clipping of the entire incident.
“Keeping in mind the past history and conduct of the IRB police constable (as stated by the complainant) the Mapusa police immediately caught the accused person Suraj Shailendra Saxena of Chimbel, Tiswadi and arrested him. The search for the second accused is on.
Dalvi said that the police department will also file a report against Saxena for such a crime.
