It took 75 boats and 300 personnel to extract oil from Ennore Creek

Chennai: Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena called a meeting of the State Management Group on Petroleum Crisis on Wednesday. According to a press release, the meeting was informed that 75 boats and 300 people have been pressed into service. “These boats are dedicated to extracting petroleum from the surface and delivering it safely to shore,” he said. Efforts to clear the petroleum-soaked debris began with excavators in nearby villages. ,

It has ordered CPCL to further intensify the mitigation work by deploying more boomers, skimmers and skilled workers. According to the release, the health department has set up mobile camps with specialized doctors to take care of the health of the people in the nearby villages.
