Jagan fulfilled Bobbili’s dream
VISAKHAPATNAM / KURNOOL / KAKINADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled the dreams of Bobbili people by making two people belonging to scheduled tribes from the region as deputy chief ministers and creating a revenue division, which TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu promised but failed, said Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu.
Addressing a public meeting in Bobbili as a part of Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra on Thursday, Mutyala Naidu said Bobbli has been neglected for decades by the successive governments. But after Jagan Mohan Reddy became Chief Minister, things started moving ahead.
“Jagan appointed ST leaders Pushpasri Srivani and Peedika Rajanna Dora as deputy chief ministers and made them sit next to him, which indicated the social empowerment of Adivasis,’’ Mutyala Naidu said. He underlined that out of 25 cabinet ministers, 17 are from SC, ST, BC and minority communities.
In Kadapa, Deputy Chief Minister S.M. Amzath Basha said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is turning the slogan of social empowerment into a policy.
Addressing the Samajika Sadhikara Bus Yatra in Kadapa, he underlined the significant representation given to minorities in positions of power under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. He contrasted this with the previous regime, where minorities had limited opportunities.
