Jalandhar: Doctor sets world record for fastest C-section delivery
Jalandhar: Dr Ashima Taneja, whose in-laws are from Phagwara, and who serves as the Head of the Department of Gynecology at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, has received global recognition by making it to the International Book of Records for performing the fastest caesarean section delivery. This extraordinary feat took place on September 26, 2024, at a medical facility in Ludhiana, Punjab. Dr Taneja delivered a baby through a skin incision in an astonishing time of just 1 minute and 5 seconds. This achievement reflects her exceptional surgical skills and precision, marking a milestone in the advancement of critical care procedures in obstetrics. The International Book of Records awarded Dr Taneja a certificate of recognition appreciating her unprecedented feat.
