Jalandhar: One arrested for murder of a villager

Jalandhar: Police today arrested the accused in the murder of Harpreet Singh, resident of Badshahpur, on September 17. Dilbagh Singh is one of the accused who killed Harpreet Singh on September 17. Baldish Kaur, daughter of deceased Harpreet, had complained to the police that her father had gone to the street at around 8 pm on September 17. When he returned at 10.30 pm, his head was bleeding profusely. She alleged that her father told his family that Dilbagh, Gurjeet and Tejpal Singh, residents of Badshahpur, had beaten him in the village. All three had sticks and wooden rods. They attacked his head and hands and feet with the weapons. He died in the morning.
