Jammu news: Professor BL Jutshi was honored

Jammu: Gandhi Memorial Camp College at Raipur Bantalab Jammu organized an educational event to felicitate Prof B L Zutshi, President, Hindu Education Society Kashmir. The event was attended by, among others, Vijay Bakaya (IAS), retired Chief Secretary; Kuldeep Khoda (IPS), retired Director General of Police; and U K Jalali, former Advocate General and Senior Advocate, Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Prof Veena Pandita, former Chairperson, JKBOSE; Prof B L Kaul, an eminent environmentalist; and other members of the executive body, including Prof Virinder Rawal, Virendra Raina, Prof Savita Raina and M K Bangroo. According to a press note, Jalali praised Prof Zutshi for his remarkable achievements in reviving institutions that were on the verge of closure, and attributed their revival to his exceptional statesmanship. Kuldeep Khoda emphasized the historic significance of Prof Zutshi’s leadership, while Prof Veena Pandita and Prof B L Kaul lauded his unwavering dedication to institutional development. Bakaya appreciated the academic and administrative skills of Professor Zutshi and highlighted his ability to handle difficult situations with patience and dexterity. General Secretary Professor Varinder Rawal also addressed the audience and highlighted the infrastructure of the development of the Institute. Staff members expressed their appreciation by presenting a shawl to Professor Zutshi in honour of his leadership. Principal Professor Satish Talaashi delivered a warm welcome address and Professor Hema Kaul presented a paper on the development activities of the Institute over time. The programme was carefully conducted by Pradeep Pandita. Professor Meenu Khazanchi presented the vote of thanks.
