Jan Aushadhi Diwas was celebrated today at Sant Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji Smriti, Government Medical College Raigarh and Prime Minister Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra located at Kevadabari Bus Stand. On this occasion, Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathia, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, newly elected Mayor Jeevdhan Chauhan, Dean of Medical College Dr. Vineet Jain, Superintendent Medical College Dr. Minj, CMHO Dr. Anil Kumar Jagat, Civil Surgeon Dr. Dinesh Patel, DPM Ranjana Paikra, Dr. Canon Daniel, along with officers and employees of the Health Department were present. Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathia and Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh inspected the PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra located at Medical College and Kevadabari Bus Stand. He took information about the medicines available at the PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra and directed to keep all the medicines in sufficient quantity, so that the patients can get its benefit. Giving information to people about the discounted and quality medicines of Jan Aushadhi Kendra, he said that as per the wishes of PM Narendra Modi, cheap medicines are being made available to the people through Jan Aushadhi Kendra, so that patients can get relief from the expenses incurred on expensive medicines. He encouraged people to use the medicines available at PM Jan Aushadhi Kendra. On the spot, he also talked to the patients and took feedback regarding the medicines available at the center. People told that good and quality medicines are available at Jan Aushadhi Kendra at a lower price than other medical stores. Due to which there is a lot of financial relief. Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathia, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan took information about the sales at PM Jan Aushadhi Kendra in the Medical College. Giving information about the month-wise sales, Dean of Medical College Dr. Vineet Jain said that sales worth Rs 19 lakh 95 thousand 243 have been made so far. At the same time, quality medicines are being made available to the patients at a discount of 50 to 90 percent from PM Jan Aushadhi Kendra located in the Medical College. Along with this, generic medicines are being prescribed by doctors.
