JAPAN: The Japan Meteorological Agency said Saturday that a tsunami warning has been issued for the Pacific coast of western Japan after a major earthquake struck the Philippines.
Public broadcaster NHK said the tsunami, which has an estimated height of 1 meter, would reach Japan by 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (1630 GMT).
