Jennifer came with Shailesh on targeting Asit, know what Sonam Kapoor regrets

‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, which has been airing on SAB TV for more than 15 years, is still entertaining people a lot. However, many of its artists have parted ways with it. Some bid farewell to the world and some left the show for some reason. Shailesh Lodha, who had said Tata-Tata bye-bye to such a show, recently once again targeted the makers of TMKOC, especially Asit Kumar Modi.
Shailesh used to play the title role of ‘Taarak Mehta’. Now actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who plays the role of Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi in the show, has also supported Shailesh. It has been a long time since Jennifer left the show. While sharing a screengrab of a media report on her social media account, Jennifer wrote in the caption, ‘If a senior actor like Shaileshji had to hear this, then just imagine what people like us would have heard and endured.’
Actually, Shailesh had revealed while talking to the media that Asit had talked to him in a wrong way. Shailesh told that once I was invited as a guest celebrity in another show and I participated in it, but Asit did not like it. Apart from this, Asit called everyone in the show his servant in a derogatory manner. I couldn’t stand the way he spoke. On February 17, I mailed that I will no longer be able to work in the show.
Sonam wants to wear ‘dramatic’ clothes on screen
Actress Sonam Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, is spending quality time with her family these days. Sonam has settled abroad. Sonam likes to stay connected with her fans. She often shares things related to herself on social media. Sonam was recently part of a panel discussing ‘The Art of Actor Design’ at the Word to Screen event of the MAMI Film Festival.
Director Ashutosh Gowarikar, producer Shivendra Dungarpur and costume designer Shruti Kapoor were also present with him. Sonam told that she feels fortunate to work with great directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali or Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. However, Sonam lamented that most producers always presented her in a simple de-glam avatar on screen. Sonam said that I want to do a period drama and wear ‘dramatic’ clothes on screen.
For some reason every director likes me in simple clothes and no makeup, whereas I am known for my clothes. I’m always the girl-next-door. I have never done a period film with jewelery and Indian clothes. In films I always wear simple salwar kameez and I am from Chandni Chowk or a small village in Punjab or one of those places. My dream is to play a period drama role one day. I have never worn dramatic costumes and that’s why I prepare for the red carpet.
