Jewelery and cash worth Rs 6 lakh stolen from retired engineer
Korba: Thieves raided the deserted house of a retired SECL engineer residing in Subhash Block and stole cash and jewellery. Police is investigating the matter. Retired engineer Deepak Kumar Rao resides in C-5, Subhash Block, SECL Colony of the city, who had gone to Ranchi with his family for some work on Sunday. During this time his house was deserted. When he returned on Monday night, he was shocked. The lock and latch of the door in front of the house were broken.
Goods were scattered inside. After breaking the cupboard with a rod, the locker inside was also broken and jewelery and cash was taken away from it. Deepak Kumar Rao informed the Manikpur police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. Where information about the stolen Mashrooka was obtained after inspection. Investigation was started in the same case.
The footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scrutinized to trace the thieves. Deepak Kumar Rao has said that jewelery worth Rs 6 lakh and cash worth Rs 22 thousand was stolen from the cupboard of the house. According to the police, the stolen Mashrooka has been asked to be assessed. On the basis of which it will be clear how much has been stolen.
