Journalist arrested for conspiracy, two mobile phones seized

Chhindwara: Police has arrested journalist Sachin Gupta on the complaint of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Chhindwara parliamentary constituency of Madhya Pradesh, Vivek Bunty Sahu, of conspiring to make a fake video. Whereas former Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s personal assistant RK Miglani has been given five days’ time.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, journalist Sudesh Nagvanshi and BJP candidate Sahu had lodged a complaint in the Kotwali police station that an attempt was being made to tarnish their image by making a fake video. Sachin Gupta and Kamal Nath’s personal assistant Niglani were accused of playing a role in making the fake video.
Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri told reporters that journalist Sachin Gupta has been arrested on the complaint filed in the case of making fake videos. His two mobile phones have been seized and he is being interrogated.
At the same time, Miglani, personal assistant of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, was also interrogated. Miglani has asked for an extension of five days due to his ill health. Also promised to cooperate fully in the investigation. Let it be known that on Monday the police had reached Kamal Nath’s Shikarpur residence Kamal Kunj and interrogated Miglani there.
