JP Nadda targets BRS

Ranga Reddy (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Sunday accused the ruling party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana of ‘indulging in appeasement politics’ and being ‘soaked in corruption’.
“On one hand, PM Modi works for the satisfaction of the people. KCR does appeasement politics in Telangana. Didn’t he make Urdu the second language? “Are they not trying to increase reservation by 4 percent in the name of religion?” 12 percent? Are they not planning to grab land for temples? We have to remove such people who are doing such appeasement,” Nadda said while addressing a rally in Ranga Reddy’s Chelleva in poll-bound Telangana.
In 2014, the BRS [then TRS] supremo had promised 12 per cent reservation for Muslims in the state in Shadnagar town, about 40 km from Hyderabad.
In 2017, the BRS government passed the Telangana Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of seats in educational institutions and appointments or posts in services under the State) Bill. Through the bill, the Telangana government aims to increase the quota for Muslims and Scheduled Tribes.

Till then, Muslims were allotted four percent quota under the Other Backward Class category, while STs were given six percent quota.
However, when the state government sent the bill to the central government and asked it to be approved and included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution, it was rejected. However, Nadda also claimed that BRS MLAs took 30 per cent commission in the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
“In Miyapur, a scam of Rs 4,000 crore was committed. He took a bribe of Rs 1,000 crore on the Outer Ring Road. KCR MLAs took 30 per cent commission in Dalit Bandhu scheme…BRS is deeply steeped in corruption,” Nadda said.
Assembly elections will be held in Telangana on November 30 and counting of votes along with four other poll-bound states is scheduled for December 3.

In the last assembly election in 2018, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won 88 of the 119 seats, securing 47.4 percent of the total vote share. Congress finished second with only 19 seats. Comparing PM Modi’s efficient 5G network, Nadda compared KCR’s 5G to poverty, scam, embezzlement, scams and hooliganism.

“KCR’s 5G in Telangana is – Garibi (poverty), Ghotala (scam), Ghooskhori (bribery), Ghaplebaaji (fraud) Gundaraj (goonda rule),” he said.
Further taking a dig at Congress, the BJP leader said that the party never fulfilled the promises made to the people of the country.

He said, “In Karnataka, Congress had promised to provide 200 units of free electricity. He had promised to provide free bus service to women. They failed to fulfill these promises. No employment allowance was given to the eligible candidates.”
He also said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Congress can only guarantee corruption.
“Only KCR and Congress can guarantee corruption!” He said.

Urging people to vote for BJP in the November 30 assembly elections, Nadda said, “If farmers need respect, youth need to be linked to development and women need to be empowered, then the people of Telangana should There is a need to help blossom the lotus in Telangana.” ,
He said that if BJP comes to power, it has decided to give four free gas cylinders to women in a year and make CM from backward class.
Nadda said, “We will reduce VAT on petrol and diesel, giving relief to the people.” (ANI)
