Junior engineer who went to collect electricity bill was assaulted

Kanker. There has been an incident of assault with the junior engineer who went to collect the electricity bill. The case is of Kotwali police station area. The junior engineer of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company has filed a report at Kanker police station. In which it has been said that after beating, the consumer has threatened to kill.

The employees of the electricity department went to the house of electricity consumer Damayanti Rajput, resident of Jawahar Ward, along with the employees of their department to collect the electricity bill. The consumer’s son assaulted the team of the electricity department for demanding more than Rs 10,000 dues. On the other hand, he has been threatened with death for demanding the bill again. A complaint has been lodged in the police station.

In this case, the SDOP told that junior engineer Anil Kumar Namdev in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company along with his employees Himalaya Nag, Yuvanand Patel, Haldhar Sahu, Pradeep Baghel, Avinash Mandavi had gone out to collect the outstanding bill amount. Meanwhile, a consumer named Damayanti Rajput refused to pay the electricity bill. After this, the incident of assault took place.
