Jyasta Gandaki death case: 2 Odisha police officers suspended, 3 home guards transferred

Kandhamal: In the Jyasta Gandaki death case, as many as two Odisha police officers have been suspended and three home guards have been transferred.

According to reports, action has been initiated against five police persons in Kandhamal. Action has been taken in the case of an alleged violence and death in Gochrapada police station area on Saturday. On the orders of the SP, SI Ajith Kumar Swain, Havildar Ramachandra Naik have been suspended while Home Guard Abhiram Mahanand, Jagbandhu Kaher and Ratnakar Naik have been sent to the headquarters.

Additional SP Balabhadra Deep disclosed that this action was taken as there was a possibility of obstructing the investigation process as the wife of deceased Gandki filed a complaint against them. Further detailed reports awaited.
