Jyoti Maurya Case: Two UP officials in trouble because of the ‘third angle’ of this triangle
Lucknow (IANS). The ‘third angle’ of the triangle of Jyoti Maurya case in Uttar Pradesh has now become a crisis. According to official sources, there is a possibility of suspension and departmental action against Manish Dubey, Commandant, Home Guard, Mahoba district, along with a police probe. He has been found guilty in the preliminary inquiry conducted against him after his name cropped up in his alleged relationship with a woman PCS officer.
The women officers are posted as Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in Bareilly.
SDM Jyoti Maurya has been in the news for her estrangement with husband Alok Maurya and her relationship with Manish Dubey.
Director General (DG) of Home Guard Bijay Kumar Maurya confirmed that the allegations against Manish Dubey were found to be true during the preliminary inquiry conducted by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Santosh Singh.
The report has been sent to the state government with a recommendation to suspend him and initiate a departmental inquiry against him, he added.
The report also recommended a detailed police probe in connection with the viral audio of the purported conversation between her and the PCS officer, in which she was purportedly heard talking about getting rid of her husband.
He said that only the police can do a forensic examination of the viral audio and bring out the truth behind it as provincial civil service (PCS) officers have not come forward to verify the viral audio.
The Director General further said that the report contained findings relating to three complaints against the commandant, including his links with the PCS officer, which had brought the department’s image into disrepute.
He said the report also contained allegations made against the commandant by a woman home guard during her posting in Amroha district that he asked her to meet her personally and stopped giving her duty when she showed reluctance.
The Director General said that in this matter the lady home guard had complained against him in the past. The Home Guard is an auxiliary force to the police.
They are paid according to the number of duties allotted to them.
Director General, Home Guard Bijay Kumar Maurya said the third complaint against the commandant was made by his wife alleging dowry harassment.
