Kanger Valley National Park encompasses natural beauty amidst lush green valleys
Raipur: Bastar’s Kanger Valley National Park has a unique identity with its natural beauty amidst lush green valleys. Today on 09 September, under the guidelines of Forest and Climate Change Minister Mohammad Akbar and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force V. Under the guidance of Srinivas Rao, an important workshop related to nature conservation was organized in Kotamsar village. In this connection, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Sudhir Aggarwal said that recently, for the wide publicity of Kanger Valley National Park, a coffee table book based on its 15 caves has also been released by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
The workshop was organized under the joint aegis of Kanger Valley National Park Management, UNICEF, FES and Chhattisgarh Agricon Samiti ‘Yuvodaya Van Mitan’ (People Become One). This program was organized with the aim of encouraging natural conservation and attempted to make people aware of natural resources. Under the programme, local youth were provided information about the importance of wildlife conservation and were encouraged to play their role in the protection and conservation of wildlife. About 250 rural youth, members of the local Eco Development Committee and rural people from the surrounding areas of the National Park were present in the workshop. National Park Director Dhammasheel Ganveer said that through this event, ‘Yuvodaya Van Mitan’ is being prepared for the young generation of Bastar, through which they will be able to make the villagers aware about the conservation of nature and culture.
