Kanimozhi: The power to burn empires in literature

Thiruvananthapuram: DMK MP Kanimozhi said even today literature has the power to burn empires like Kannaki in the epic ‘Chilapathikaram’.

She was speaking after releasing a collection of poems by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s media secretary Prabha Verma. “The Trinity of Kannaki had burnt injustice along with Madhura. This was the anger of women which remained suppressed for centuries. Even today poetry has that power,” he said.

Dancer Rajshree Warrier received a copy of the book from Kanimozhi at a function held at the YMCA hall.
