Karnataka CM: Siddaramaiah took oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka

The elected government is taking oath in Karnataka on Saturday. Siddaramaiah has taken oath as CM in Karnataka. During this, the Congress tried to show opposition unity on the stage. Nitish Kumar and Sharad Pawar were also seen on the stage.

The results of the Karnataka Assembly elections were revealed on 13 May. Congress has won 135 seats, BJP 66 seats and JDS 19 seats. The deadlock between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar over the claim for the post of CM in the Congress continued for several days. However, after several days of meeting and persuasion by the high command, a consensus could be reached between the two leaders.
