Karnataka News: Seven child laborers rescued from farm in Chittapur
Kalaburagi: Various groups of anti child labor groups including voluntary organizations fighting for child labor prohibition implementation rescued 7 girls from cotton fields in some villages of Chittapur taluk. Wednesday, according to a press note. .Embodied here on Friday.
According to a press note from Deputy Labor Commissioner Dr Avinash Naik, based on a complaint submitted to the Child Aid Line, a team comprising personnel from the Police Department, Labor Department, District Sociedad de Prohibition del Child Labour, District Protection Unit for Child Rights , Panchayat Raj Department and Child Support Line 1098/112 found cotton fields in Ladlapur, Nalwar, Sannati Road on Wednesday and rescued 7 women workers working in cotton fields and admitted them to home temporarily. These girls will be presented before the District Child Welfare Committee and documents related to the age of the girls will be obtained from them and measurements will be taken as per rules. They said they would file FIRs and file cases in courts against employers for hiring workers in cotton fields.
