Karnataka State Transport Undertakings orders 1,225 Ashok Leyland buses
Karnataka: Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland has received an order for 1,225 units of fully built Viking buses from Karnataka State Transport Undertakings. These buses should be delivered by April 2024.
The company has been the most preferred brand of Karnataka State Transport Undertakings (STUs) with a fleet of over 11,680 operational buses.
According to a statement from the company, these buses will comply with AIS153 standards and will offer features such as H-series 6-cylinder 147 kW (197 hp) engines and OBD-II certification.
“Our deep understanding of our markets and customers is what differentiates us and has been instrumental in our success in winning these orders,” said Shenu Agarwal, MD, Ashok Leyland.

Ashok Leyland is the largest bus manufacturer in India and the fourth largest in the world.
