BRS leader K Kavitha, arrested in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam, on Saturday moved the court against the CBI inquiry. K Kavitha has requested CBI to withdraw the permission given for interrogation. Let us tell you that CBI is investigating corruption in the liquor policy case. Kavita’s lawyer Nitesh Rana told the court that the CBI thwarted the due process of law by filing a petition seeking permission to interrogate her ‘behind her back’. “I have serious apprehensions that the CBI may not have disclosed the true facts in order to obtain a favorable order from the court,” Rana said, urging the court to reconsider its Friday order allowing Kavita to be interrogated in judicial custody. The order should be kept in abeyance until their side is heard. The court heard the arguments and adjourned the case for hearing till April 10 after CBI sought time to respond to Kavita’s plea.
