Kerala: Woman accused of burning children with a spatula in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM Malappuram: A woman brutally tortured her three children with a spatula. The incident took place in Thavanur, Areekode, Malappuram. The children’s parents are from outside.

This couple from Bihar worked in Thavanur. The children, aged 5, 6, and 11, were brutally tortured. The woman would heat spatulas and knives over a fire and then use them on her stepchildren’s bodies. She also starved them and beat them severely at night. Based on a complaint from neighbors, the police detained the parents. Both have been remanded in custody. The children are now in the custody of the Child Protection Committee.
