Khammam: Separate Telangana State was achieved after a long struggle by BRS and Telangana people, but it happened at the mercy of Delhi masters, said BRS district president, MLC Tata Madhusudan. He along with former MLAs S Venkata Veeraiah and Satyavati, leaders K Koteswara Rao, K Nagabhushanam and Gundala Krishna besides a large number of BRS activists celebrated Jenda Panduga on the occasion of the tenth year of Telangana Formation Day here on Monday.Commuters were inconvenienced as the lower and main tank bund roads remained closed on Monday morning. The previous BRS government is credited with pushing development and welfare governance in the state under the leadership of party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.He said Khammam district had played a key role during the Telangana agitation. There was neither power cut nor water shortage in the last ten years. Madhusudan said problems arose in power and water supply as soon as the Congress came to power. The Congress government should continue the welfare and development initiatives of BRS with sincerity. Venkata Veeraiah said that BRS won the local body MLC election in Revanth Reddy’s own district and this is proof that the Congress is losing public support. Telangana activists who participated in the statehood struggle were felicitated on the occasion.
