Kharapathar Road will be upgraded for Rs. 18.25 crores

Education Minister Rohit Thakur on Tuesday performed the bhoomi pujan of Khadapathar-Patsari link road under Jubbal-Navar-Kotkhai assembly constituency to be upgraded at a cost of Rs 18.30 crore. On this occasion, while congratulating the people of Parali Panchayat area and surrounding Panchayats, he said that better road facilities will be provided by widening and paving this 19 kilometer long road.
He said that to provide relief to all the disaster affected people of Shimla district, a special relief package function will soon be organized in Theog under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, in which relief amount will be distributed to all the disaster affected people of the district under the revised relief manual. He called upon the people of the area to register maximum presence in the grand function to be organized in Dharamshala on December 11 to mark the completion of one year of the state government’s rule.

He said that approximately Rs 24 lakh is being spent on the construction of Primary Health Center building, Khadapathar, while approximately Rs 80 lakh will be spent on the construction of the new building of High School, Khadapathar, the tender process of which will be completed soon. Apart from this, Rs 6 crore 46 lakh is being spent on the construction of six kilometers of Giriganga link road, the construction work of which is going on and 65 percent work has been completed. Similarly, Rs 6 crore 26 lakh is being spent on about five kilometer Jubbal Dekehar Deem link road, the construction work of which has been 50 percent completed. The Cabinet Minister also listened to the problems of the villagers in Gram Panchayat Sheel and Kharapaththar and assured to solve the problems.
