Kharora police arrested two liquor smugglers
Raipur: Kharora police has arrested two liquor smugglers. According to the police, police received information that two persons riding on a two-wheeler were carrying liquor and were going somewhere from village Ghivra. On which, under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of station in-charge Kharora, the team of police station Kharora started locating the vehicle and person and identified the vehicle and persons and caught them near the farm located at village Ghivra under police station Kharora area. During interrogation, the persons revealed their names to be Narendra Faker, resident of village Ghivra police station Kharora Raipur and the other one is a child struggling with the law.
When the team members searched the bag kept with them, it was found to contain country liquor. On demanding valid documents from both of them regarding the keeping and transportation of liquor, an attempt was being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which both of them were arrested and illegally kept from their possession 72 Pauwa country liquor and the motorcycle number CG/04/LY/2931 Jumla worth about Rs. 40,000/- used in liquor smuggling and crime was registered against both of them in Police Station Kharora. No. 614/23, offense under Section 34(2) Excise Act was registered and action was taken.
