Khedki Daula toll should be shifted to another place: Manohar Lal
Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has written a letter to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, offering 30 acres of land free of cost to NHAI and requesting him to shift the Khedki Daula Toll Plaza to this land. In a letter written to the Union Minister, the Chief Minister said that there is a jam of traffic vehicles in Gurugram area at Khedki Daula Toll Plaza on NH 48.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government has offered 30 acres of land free of cost to the National Highway Authority of India for setting up a new toll plaza at Panchgaon by replacing the toll plaza at Khedki Daula. This strategy will help in smoothening and facilitating traffic flow and reducing vehicular congestion in Gurugram urban agglomeration. The Chief Minister has assured Nitin Gadkari that Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority is ready to ensure quick and efficient transition of the entire process and transfer the land to NHAI at the earliest as per its convenience. The move is expected to resolve the existing traffic bottleneck and contribute to the overall development of the area.
