Kidnapped youth found in Telibandha, kidnapper absconding
Durg: In Bhilai three police station area, in the name of crime branch, a young man was called outside the house in a film style and some youth kidnapped him in a car and took him to Raipur. As soon as the news was received, the police team chasing the accused reached Telibandha area of Raipur late in the night and rescued the youth from the clutches of the accused. One accused has been arrested in this case, while 3 are absconding. A policeman was also injured while trying to catch the kidnapper. The whole matter is being said to be a money transaction.
Bhilai 3 TI Manish Sharma told that “Toshi Goswami, resident of Padumnagar Bhilai 3, filed a report that her husband Sagar Bharti Goswami works in business trading. Sagar reached home in his car on the night of 31 October. During this time, Hitesh alias Bunty Sahu, a resident of Vasundhara Nagar Bhilai and his three friends came in a car. On returning home at night, Sagar was called out of the house by a call in the name of Crime Branch. Hitesh Bunty and his associates put Sagar in their car and started beating him and taking him away. Hearing the sound of Sagar screaming, his wife came out of the house. When she saw her husband being forcibly taken away in the car by some people, she ran behind the car to save Sagar. The accused first took the car straight, but seeing the road ahead closed, they turned the car back and started passing in front of Sagar’s house. Sagar’s wife and some people nearby ran towards the car, but the kidnappers tried to crush them with the car and took Sagar away.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. Sagar’s wife gave the numbers of both Sagar and Bunty to the police. Sagar’s phone was said to be switched off, but Bunty’s location was found near Telibandha pond. Bhilai 3 TI Manish Sharma immediately left for Raipur with his team. The accused were keeping Sagar hostage in the car in Ring Road of Telibandha area. Seeing the police coming, the accused left the car and ran away. Sagar Bharti Goswami was rescued and brought safely to Bhilai in three hours. All of them managed to escape from the spot. Information has been received that a police personnel has also been injured in this incident while trying to catch the kidnappers.
