Knife attack in front of Dhaba, one youth seriously injured

Rajnandgaon. A fight between two youths in Pendri area outside the city last night turned into a knife attack. A youth has been seriously injured in the knife attack. The injured youth was sent to Raipur. Police has detained a youth on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

According to the information received, Aryan Nayak, a resident of Ramnagar in the city, had a dispute with Gaurav Meshram of the same locality near Sher-e-Punjab Dhaba in Pendri last night. During the fight, Aryan stabbed Gaurav Meshram with a knife. After suffering a serious injury in the chest, he has been referred to Raipur after first aid at the medical college.

It is being told that there was an altercation between the two over something. In a fit of rage, the accused attacked the youth with intent to kill. Lalbag police station in-charge Navratan Kashyap said that a youth named Aryan Nayak has been detained on the basis of suspicion. Police say that the condition of the injured youth is out of danger. Police is investigating the incident.
