Balangir: A bandh has been called by the Kosal Rajya Milita Karjyanushthan Samiti to demand a special state by the name of Kosal in 11 districts of the western part of Odisha. The impact of the bandh was clearly visible in Bolangir district as the protesters locked the gate of the main post office and then started dharna and blocked the roads. Due to the bandh, all shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed. Transport has come to a standstill in most areas. Many other organizations in 11 districts have supported the bandh. However, essential services like medical and education have been kept out of the bandh. However, there is no impact of the bandh in Sambalpur. Although bus services are normal, shops and business establishments are open in the city. However, there is no effect of the bandh in Sambalpur.
