Laborer commits suicide in factory, hangs himself on tin shed
Durg: In the district, a 35-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself in the servant quarter inside the Jain Industries factory. It is not known why the young man hanged himself. Mohan Nagar police is engaged in the investigation.
Mohan Nagar police station in-charge Vinay Yadav said that on Friday morning he had received information that a youth had hanged himself inside the factory located in Ward 17 Shantinagar area of Durg. When the police reached the spot, they saw that the young man was hanging on the noose. He placed a stone on top of the bucket of water, climbed into it and made a noose with the help of a tin shed rod and swung in it. The police immediately cut the rope and lowered the body of the young man, but by then he had died. The Mohan Nagar police has arranged a mortuary and sent the dead body to the district hospital Durg’s Marchuri for PM. Panchnama action is being taken there.
Durg Ward 17 councilor Dev Narayan Chandrakar told that Santosh was a resident of Kumla village in Manpur Mohla. His wife, two daughters and mother are at home. He had come to the fort to earn and eat. Here in the Shantinagar Industrial Area, Jain used to live and work in the servant quarter of a factory named Industry. Other laborers working in the factory told that they had seen Santosh sitting near the quarter till 5-6 am on Friday morning. After that he went to his room and hanged himself. It is not known why he hanged himself.
