Land lease dispute, face off between slum dwellers and police

Bhubaneswar: A land lease dispute turned ugly when police and slum dwellers clashed in front of the Odisha Assembly. According to reports, Saliya Sahi, a resident of Bhubaneswar, surrounded the Odisha Assembly and had a scuffle with the police.
When the people of Saliyasahi were coming in the form of a procession to surround the Legislative Assembly in the land lease dispute, the police stopped them. He had an argument with the police on this. It is noteworthy that about 180 agitators have been detained. Six women policemen were injured in the fight.

All settlements in Bhubaneswar are being surveyed and land pattas (leases) are being given, while Salias Ahi has been excluded from the survey.
