Landran: CGC Landran celebrated Lohri, dedicated the festival to its daughters
Landran: 12 January 2024: The Student Welfare Department of Grupo de Universidades de Chandigarh (CGC), Landran has organized a lively cultural program to celebrate the festival of Lohri in the campus.
Students, members of the teaching body and the entire fraternity of CGC enjoyed the festive celebrations marking the beginning of the Rabi harvest season and the end of the winter solstice.
CGC Landran President Satnam Singh Sandhu, CGC Landran President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, deans and directors of CGC Landran were also present in this program.
A mesmerizing rendition of Bhangra and Giddha was lit by the students of CGC, Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu and President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal lit the sacred fire in the presence of staff members and students praying for a prosperous and satisfying year ahead. , All. Addressing the audience, CGC Landran President Satnam Singh Sandhu wished everyone a happy Lohri.
In his speech, he highlighted the importance of celebrating Lohri and its connection with the great hero Dulla Bhatti. Dedicating the Lohri festival to girls at CGC, it is called Lohri for Girls.
Describing the girls as the pride of the family, the nation and CGC, he emphasized that they are brave enough and capable of taking care of themselves and prospering in life.
He appreciated his achievements in all fields including engineering, defence, business sector. CGC Landran President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal also wished everyone a Lohri full of happiness, prosperity and success for the next year.
The event concluded with fun games and competitions which all the attendees enjoyed and was followed by a DJ party.
