Last date to deposit tax is 15th March

Jhunjhunu: The last date for depositing advance tax on heavy vehicles for the year 2024-25 has been fixed as March 15. District Transport Officer Dr. Makhan Lal Jangid said that as per the notification issued by the department, the amnesty scheme has been implemented for different categories of vehicles. He said that vehicle owners can avail exemption in the penalty payable on the outstanding tax till March 31, 2023, if they deposit the entire tax outstanding on the vehicle within the time period. The department has issued notices to 3500 heavy vehicles to deposit the tax on vehicles of the above category. He told that to avoid penalty and other departmental action, make sure to deposit the vehicle tax by the due date. In case the tax is not deposited on time, action will be taken to seize the vehicles.
