Last rites of IPS’s parents, who died in a road accident

Bhilai. Ladakh SSP PD Nitya, who lost her parents and grandmother together in a road accident in Bhilai on Tuesday night, reached Bhilai on Wednesday evening. She directly reached Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. She cried after seeing the bodies of her father P Venkataratnam, mother P Shanthi and grandmother in the mortuary here. During this time, her husband kept consoling her and her family.
On Tuesday night, while returning home from the farm house in Berla, the car of Nitya’s father Venkataratnam was hit by a trailer coming from the front. The car was blown to pieces. Venkataratnam, his wife P Shanthi and mother-in-law were killed in the accident. Today the last rites of all three bodies were performed at Ramnagar Muktidham.

As soon as the information was received, Venkataratnam and Shanti’s daughter PD Nithya left for Bhilai from Ladakh with her IPS husband. She reached Bhilai on Wednesday evening. During this time his brother was also present. The family members including Nitya started crying after seeing the dead bodies of the parents and grandmother together.
