Leopard attacks 4 year old boy, dies
Bijnor. A 14-year-old boy was attacked by a leopard on Thursday evening in Sabdalpur Rehra village of Heempur Deepa police station area of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, due to which he died. The boy was playing with his friends on the outskirts of the village when the leopard pounced on him and tried to drag him into the forest. Alfez raised an alarm, after which the villagers reached there with sticks. The leopard was beaten with sticks. The leopard ran away leaving a seriously injured boy. The family members took him to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Chandpur Forest Department official Dushyant Kumar said on Friday that 14-year-old Alfej, who had come to his maternal grandfather’s house in Sabdalpur Rehra village of Heempur Deepa police station area, plucked guava from a guava tree outside the village on Thursday evening. Of his fellow children. Then a leopard attacked him. As a result he died immediately. The body was sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. The official said the leopard may return to the village. Hence, the forestry team is patrolling the site. We are taking measures to prevent loss of life and property in future. He said that the departmental process of giving compensation to the victim’s family has been completed.
