Leopard seen in Ponmudi, place under forest department surveillance
Thiruvananthapuram: A leopard was spotted in Ponmudi, the main tourist hub of the capital. The leopard was seen in front of Ponmudi police station at 8.30 am on Tuesday. The policemen saw it entering the forest through the road. The police immediately informed the forest department.
The forest department reached the spot and searched but the leopard could not be found. This place is under the surveillance of forest department officials. Many tourists are visiting this place during Christmas and New Year holidays. In such a situation, the presence of leopards creates serious concern.
