Harish Rao Fires On Cm For Not Spending On Devadula Project

If the BRS government stands by the farmers in every way, the Congress government will not be able to do anything, said MLA Harish Rao. Stating that during his tenure, Rs. 7,300 crores were spent on the Devadula project and 80 percent of the work was completed, he lamented that the Revanth government was not ready to spend even Rs. 2,000 crores.
“During KCR’s rule, we gave priority to the Devadula project. We increased the ayacut from 47,000 acres to 3,17,000 acres at a cost of Rs. 7,300 crore. Another 33,000 acres were required for this project, and we have also completed land acquisition for 30,000 acres. Another 3,000 acres of land needs to be acquired. If we spend about Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 crore, another 2,40,000 acres of ayacut can be created. But the Congress government has not spent even Rs. 100 crore in the two and a half years it has been in power,” Harish Rao lashed out at the Congress.
