Liquor seized, Excise Department took action

Mahasamund: Under the direction of Collector Prabhat Malik and the guidance of District Excise Officer in-charge Mr. Mohit Jaiswal, action was taken against two accused against illegal liquor manufacturing and sale in circle Bagbahra of Excise Department, District Mahasamund. In these, during the investigation by the Excise team, accused Amir Baksh Qureshi from village Chhote Khemra, Police Station-Komakhan, 60 nos. pouches of zebra print Odisha state made liquor quantity 12 bulk litre, 45 nos pouch deer print Odisha state made liquor quantity 9.00 bulk litres, total quantity 21 bulks. Liter and 53 pieces of pouch zebra print Odisha state made liquor, total quantity 10.600 bulk liter, was recovered from Dilip Pandey village Ukhra. Thus, total quantity 31.600 bulk liter liquor was recovered. Action was taken against the accused under Excise Act section 34(2).

Assistant District Excise Officer Savita Rani Meshram, Excise Sub Inspector Circle Bagbahra Mukesh Kumar Verma, Excise Sub Inspector Hriday Kumar Tirpude, Excise Chief Constable Madhav Rao, Excise Constable Devesh Manjhi and vehicle driver Gandhi Ram Thakur and all the Excise staff played an important role in the case.
