Liquor was being sold on dry day, police took action

Raigar: Tomorrow on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, a dry day has been declared in the whole of Chhattisgarh, on the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police and the guidance of Additional SP Sanjay Mahadeva and SDOP Dharamjaygarh Deepak Mishra, to ban the illegal sale and transportation of liquor in the police station area during the dry day. In-charge Mohan Bhardwaj formed different teams of the police station and sent the team to arrest illegal liquor.

In which the accused Mukesh Sidar father Parmanand Sidar age 28 years resident of Kodkel police station Lailunga was illegally trapped in plastic jarkin with a bamboo stick on both sides and kept it in hand containing 48 liters of liquor worth ₹ 4800 from Kodkel Bagichapara on foot. Accused Singh Delki father Bolse Delki age 48 years, resident of Lamdad police station Lailunga, was caught illegally carrying raw mahua liquor, a plastic jerrycan containing 08 liters of liquor worth ₹ 800 from the courtyard of the Lamdand accused.

Action has been taken against the accused by registering the crime under the Excise Act in Police Station Lailunga and duly arresting them. Inspector Mohan Bhardwaj, Sauni Kamal Singh Rajput, head constable Jaysharan Chandra, constable Raju Tigga, Vinod Bhagat and Sumit Ekka had a special role in the said liquor raid.
